A little bit about myself...I first became interested in Acupuncture when my mother got seriously ill with Hyperthyroidism. Through regular acupuncture treatments, Chinese Herbs and a strict diet, she made an almost complete recovery without having radiation treatment or having her thyroid removed. At the time it seemed like a miracle to me.
I tried it myself soon afterwards and was amazed by the effect it had on my both physically and emotionally. That sparked a deep interest in all things Chinese, which eventually lead to me going to China to learn more... |

China
It was an amazing experience being in China and having the opportunity to treat such a wide range of illnesses in clinic. Acupuncture is widely available and popular in the hospitals in China so we were able to treat people on cancer wards to help build their immunity up between chemotherapy sessions, people coming for severe mental health problems, stroke rehabilitation and lots more.
Studying in China was intense but very rewarding. It was a wonderful to see first hand how people lived the lifestyle, getting up in the morning to practice T'ai Chi in the parks, eating food according to the season and their body constitution, massaging their acupressure points and so on.
I enjoyed many acupuncture and herb treatments myself while I was there so know first hand how much you can get out of them.

Ireland
Having gained such an appreciation of herbs while I was in China, I wanted to study them for myself when I returned. I joined the College of Oriental Medicine in Cork, where I studied herbs and more acupuncture for a further two years. I loved learning about the complexity of the herbs and how to combine them to tailor make formula for each individual.
